About Me
Hi, I’m Maddie—a disability advocate, service dog handler, and student passionate about making the world more inclusive.
I became disabled at 14, and now navigate life as an ambulatory wheelchair user while training my amazing service dog, Arlo. I’m currently studying Human Development at the University of Alabama with the goal of becoming a Child Life Specialist, where I hope to support children and families through some of life’s toughest moments.
Outside of class, I help run social media for a first-generation college student organization, using my platform to uplift marginalized voices and share my journey. Whether I’m rolling across campus, working with Arlo, or posting about accessibility and advocacy, my goal is always the same: to help create a world that’s more understanding, inclusive, and kind.
